"A figurative and literal journey into imaginative opera landscapes" - Opera Canada

You know the phrase "you reap what you sow"? We at MUO understand that all too well so we are starting to plant some seeds. Opera Around Town, or OAT for short, is a new initiative to spread opera all across the city to expose Winnipeggers to this great art form.

Check out our 2019 OAT activities and drop by to say hello when you can!

Lunch Hour at Cityplace with Downtown Winnipeg BIZ

Throughout the entire summer, take in Winnipeg’s hidden gem at Cityplace for their concert series Tuesday from 12:00 – 1:00 pm on the terrace! In the event of bad weather concerts will be moved indoors to the centre court (main floor).

MUO artists will perform a special concert of traditional opera standards on August 20th. Grab lunch and get ready for some strong mid-week emotions.

Concert is presented for free with support from the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ.

Opera at the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ's Farmers' Markets

MUO artists will be serenading at the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ’s popular Farmers’ Market on four Thursdays in August. The market offers fresh and local vegetables and fruits, baking, preserves, meat, fish, cheese, crafts, jewelry, and other food and artisan items.

You’ll find our artists and the market outside at True North Square ( 242 Hargrave Street). Performances from 10:30am-2:30pm every Thursday of August 2019.
